Anatomy Series

Human Anatomy is complex and deeply interconnected. This series has been developed to give instructor’s greater knowledge on human anatomy. This highly interactive, hands-on approach to applied anatomy is guaranteed to inspire curiosity and confidence about how to condition muscles most effectively in an aquatic environment. Join us for one or all nine of this wonderful series developed by Katherine.
Sessions:
Session 1 - Main muscles of the shoulder girdle including the serrates anterior, pec minor, elevator scapulae, rhomboids, and trapezius.
Session 2 - Understanding the shoulder joint including deltoids, rotator cuff (Supraspinatus, infraspinatus, trees minor, subscapularis) as well as the upper arm (biceps and triceps brachii).
Session 3 - The inner core including pelvic core, transverse abdominis, multifidus, internal and external obliques, rectus abdomens, erector spinae and the diaphragm.
Session 4 - Muscles of the trunk including the extrinsic core, QL and back erector spinae.
Session 5 - A deeper dive into the erector spinae and QL muscles.
Session 6 - Hip Abduction: the glute medius, glute minimus, TFL and IT Band.
Session 7 - Hip Adduction
Session 8 - Glute maximus and hamstrings
Session 9 - Hip flexors and knee extensors.
